Sweet Desire won second at AOBA National Fleece to Fashion Show, in addition to several blue halter ribbons. Her fiber remains 25 with a CV of 16%, so it has a fabulous silky hand, even after 7 pregnancies. Woven, it has been mistaken for silk!
We selected Patagonia's Admiral for Desire's 2012 cria due to his low micron and cv. along with his exquisite fiber character and his dark Mink Brown daughter, Querida Sophia, has the best handle, best fiber character and lengh of an... |

Reine is a proven dam, her first cria is a beautiful cinnamon colored female with a white face and wearing "lipstick"-her name of course, La Gioconda; she is our joyful little Mona Lisa, with a happy, friendly disposition. Like her dam, Gioconda, a Rico Suave (Elite x Bobby Ann) granddaughter has the genetics to maintain her beautiful bright silky fiber forever! Reine's sire and dam have halter and fiber awards, and both have second place ribbons at AOBA Nationals, as well as maintaining their fineness as they age and breed! With density, staple length, crimp tip to toes, tail to stern, silk and shine, what more could you ask, but for a good solid frame, excellent bite, a friendly demeaner and an exuberant enjoyment of life! Reine's brothers have all placed well at halter and their fiber is in high dollar demand with hand spinners. All her 1/2 brothers have sold for good prices to fiber artists who covet their fiber. Reine's fiber sold for $5.00/oz last fall to a professional fiber artist who proclaimed it the best alpaca she has ever used. This year her fiber again went to a production spinner/weaver.
Reine's second and 3rd cria are sired by Accoyo America Masai, who throws uniform, soft fiber with the incredible under 20, under 4, under 20 AFD/SD/CV coveted fiber traits. both maintaining 15 micron their first 2 years.
She is currently bred to Snowmass Golden Chaccu son Golden Warrior, a consistent blue ribbon winning herdsire who maintains his beautiful fiber characteristics as he ages.
Included in Reine's pedigree is Royal Fawn through Dom Lucilio; 4 Peruvian Black Magic, Dracula through Vela, 4 Peruvian Cheval through Peruvian Royal Challenger, PPPeruvian Aphrodite, 4 P Chronus, it is no wonder both mom and dad have fabulous fiber and kept low c of v and sd through the years. Whether you choose Reine for her fiber, her genetic potential as a dam, or as an entertaining pet, she will be Queen of your Heart.
With a lovely long neck, well balanced conformation, regal presence, onglasting fineness and silky handle, Reine was bred to our Hemingway/Accoyo herdsire, Acoyo America Masai, the only son of Accoyo America Joseph, El Nino's fawn son, full brother to Endeavor and Denali-A treasure trove of powerful color genetics and fiber. The resultant male cria is named Glowing Ember, his red fleece smolders out of his black points.
