Sweet Desire won second at AOBA National Fleece to Fashion Show, in addition to several blue halter ribbons. Her fiber remains 25 with a CV of 16%, so it has a fabulous silky hand, even after 7 pregnancies. Woven, it has been mistaken for silk!
We selected Patagonia's Admiral for Desire's 2012 cria due to his low micron and cv. along with his exquisite fiber character and his dark Mink Brown daughter, Querida Sophia, has the best handle, best fiber character and lengh of any of Desire's cria so far. Winning first at International Alpaca Odyssey in cottage fleece 2013 and 2014, with very positive comments on her uniformity, brightness and exquisite handle, we expect many beautiful fleeces and cria from Sophia.
Her 2016 cria is Inti Kana, an adorable teddy bear baby, maybe her best yet. No Color contamination in this beautiful dark fleece by Starshire Farm's herdsire, Patagonia's El Vasco.
Desire is currently bred to Accoyo America Masai, the only son of Accoyo America Joseph, a fawn El Nino son, full brother of Denali and Endeavor out of the incomparable Sicuani. Masai at 5 won 1st of 7 entries in the 2 year and older white fleece class at the 2017 Black Sheep Gathering, with his fine handle bringing him to the top of the class.
